Hello, I'm
Suboth
Ragunathan

I'm a 23-year-old full-stack, cross-platform software and AI engineer from Colombo, Sri Lanka. I build web, mobile, and desktop apps, and I've been doing it professionally since March 2020. My day job is Team Lead & Director of IT Development at BBDSP Consultant, where I lead a team of 16 developers working on web, mobile, and AI projects.

Web apps, mobile apps, cross-platform desktop tools, AI chatbots and automation, landing pages, POS systems, and IT consulting. I can take a project from architecture and UX through to deployment, CI/CD, and SEO after launch.

I write JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Swift, and Kotlin, and most of my work is in React, Next.js, Node.js, React Native, and Electron. On the backend I use Node.js, Flask, and .NET with REST or GraphQL APIs, on MySQL, PostgreSQL, Firebase, or Supabase. For cloud and DevOps: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, Docker, and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

I started freelancing in March 2020, when I was 16. Since then I've designed, built, and deployed more than ten production web and mobile apps for clients in Sri Lanka and the UK. Since June 2025 I've also led 16 developers at BBDSP Consultant, where the CI/CD workflows I designed raised delivery efficiency by 20% across at least five concurrent projects.

Yes, it's a big part of my work. I built Sonala, a cross-platform desktop photo editor that uses Stable Diffusion and Azure AI Foundry, and I build AI chatbots and n8n automations for business clients. I'm also working through Microsoft's AI Engineer learning path alongside my BIT at the University of Moratuwa.

SriSales.lk, a live B2B/B2C advertising platform with over 500 Sri Lankan business listings. atibatti.edu.lk, a government institute website under SLIATE that loads in under two seconds. chillhutz.lk, a boutique resort and restaurant site in Batticaloa. StarWallet, a Solana-based crypto exchange app for mobile. And Sonala, a desktop photo editor built on Stable Diffusion.

Yes. Besides Sri Lankan clients, I coordinate international projects such as Bird Foots Lane Supermarket in London, and I work remotely with clients in the UK and elsewhere. Right now I look after more than ten active clients, handling scope, timelines, and delivery.

Every site I ship gets structured data, Open Graph tags, a sitemap, and Core Web Vitals work. My sites score 90 or above on Google PageSpeed. atibatti.edu.lk scores 100 and loads in under two seconds, served through Vercel's edge CDN and Cloudinary. My SEO work has measurably improved organic search traffic for more than five client websites.

Yes, cross-platform work is my specialty. On mobile I use React Native and Expo. StarWallet, a Solana crypto exchange app with Google sign-in and CI/CD, is one example. On desktop I build Electron apps for macOS, Windows, and Linux, like the Sonala photo editor. For native iOS I also use SwiftUI.

I'm completing a Bachelor of Information Technology (external degree) at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka (Oct 2023 – Nov 2026), with coursework in data structures, algorithms, database systems (MySQL), software engineering, and networks. I also hold a Full-Stack Developer Trainee Certificate from the University of Moratuwa and several freeCodeCamp certifications, and I'm working through Microsoft's AI Engineer learning path.

Ask to see work you can check yourself. I built the official SLIATE ATI Batticaloa website (atibatti.edu.lk), a .edu.lk government domain under the Ministry of Higher Education. It scores 100 on Google PageSpeed, and the developer credit page is published on the government domain itself. I lead 16 developers as Team Lead & Director of IT Development at BBDSP Consultant, and I've shipped more than ten production applications across web, mobile, desktop, and AI for clients in Sri Lanka and the UK. The case studies on this site link to the live projects.

Yes. Since June 2025 I've been Team Lead & Director of IT Development at BBDSP Consultant in Batticaloa, Sri Lanka, leading 16 developers across web, mobile, and AI projects. I've also delivered two Batticaloa projects of my own: the ATI Batticaloa government institute website (atibatti.edu.lk) and Chill Hutz, a boutique garden resort and restaurant (chillhutz.lk). I'm available for hire in Batticaloa and remotely anywhere.

I was born on 14 September 2003, so I'm 23. I started freelancing in March 2020 at 16, while I was still at school, and that's where my professional experience starts. Today I lead 16 developers as Team Lead & Director of IT Development at BBDSP Consultant, and I run SetaByte as Founder & CEO.

Yes. I take freelance web, mobile, and AI gigs on Fiverr at fiverr.com/suboth23, as well as direct work by email or through this site. Fiverr suits small fixed-scope jobs like a landing page, a bug fix, or a small feature. For bigger contracts or long-term work, email [email protected] so we can scope it properly.
